Food Waste Scotland – A one day conference on food waste collection and processing 25th of June Edinburgh

Recycling and Waste World Conferences is pleased to announce its annual Food Waste conference, this time with the support of media partner, Footprint.

Taking place in central Edinburgh on 25 June 2013 and chaired by Editor-in-chief of Footprint, David Burrows, the conference will look at the implications of the new waste regulations coming into force from January 2014 in Scotland.

The programme will assess the issues involved with the collection and processing of food waste from organisations producing more than 50kg of food waste per week.

The day will provide an opportunity to explore how businesses can not only comply with the regulations, but can also drive forward potential business gains from clever waste management, and benefit from an improved sustainability standing.

The conference aims to bring together waste management firms, local authorities and food waste producing businesses for a day of discussion, information and action.

Speakers include:

•                  Frank Stubbs, Project Manager (Business Engagement), Zero Waste Scotland

•                  Eilidh Brunton, Business Development Executive, Food Waste Network

•                  Robin Stevenson, Managing Director of the non-hazardous division, William Tracey Group

Early booking is recommended.
