Leaders from across the drinks industry were at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London’s Portland Place last night as businesses came together to recognise the work the industry has done to make a positive impact to sustainability in the On Trade drinks sector.
Organisations large and small enter the Drinks Sustainability Awards on an equal footing – and apart from being stakeholders in this industry, the key thing they have in common is a desire to do the right thing when it comes to the sustainability of the environment in which they operate.
The UK drinks industry has risen to this challenge, and last night guests heard of the innovative ways in which businesses of all sizes are leading the way in sustainable ways of operating.
The Drinks Sustainability Awards pits young, up and coming businesses, against the established global giants of the drinks industry and this year saw winners ranging from The Gipsy Hill Brewing Company and Toast Brewing to Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company and Fuller, Smith & Turner with a very strong showing from the youth!
Now in its sixth year, this annual industry awards, brought to you by Footprint and C&C Group plc, is the barometer for sustainability and responsible business practice for the drinks industry. The awards are open to drinks businesses, suppliers and stakeholders of all sizes operating in the hospitality and out of home arena.
