A NEW film aims to spark debate and action to ensure we secure the food of the future by outlining the challenges agriculture will face from climate change and other disasters.
Seeds of Time premiered last week in New York. The film is available for purchase, but supporters can also earn the money to host a community screening by getting film-related shares on social networks.
Directed by Academy-award-nominee Sandy McLeod, it is narrated by Dr Cary Fowler who believes that agriculture needs to learn to adapt before it is too late. As former Executive Director of the Global Crop Diversity, Fowler believes a vital component of this is the creation of a disaster-resistant seed bank that can preserve global genetic diversity and allow seeds to be stored for future use.
