To co-incide with Go Green Week (8-13 February), we have been working on a brand new tool to help assess suppliers sustainability – the Supplier Enagagment Tool.
With the help of North Western Universities Purchasing Consoritum and the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium, we now have an easy way to monitor and support individual suppliers’ commitments. Providing real time data all one place, the new digital appliance will enable members to track the progress of the entire supply chain network and identify any areas where ‘green’ credentials need to be improved.
Mike Haslin, Chief Operating Officer, commented: “With sustainability a high priority on Industry agendas, we wanted to create a way for purchasing consortiums to monitor and analyse suppliers’ green efforts. The data generated by the new tool will enable us to offer greater support, guidance and training to our entire supply base and ultimately improve methods of sharing best practice.”
