Could you run a feature about the university of Sheffield’s success at the BBC Food Awards last month where The University of Sheffield and Our Cow Molly won the Future Food Award 2016.
Gavin brown, Peter Anstess and a colleague were there to receive the award along with Ed Andrews (the university off sheffields milkman) and his family from Our Cow Molly.
The university have supported the growth of Our Cow Molly in Accommodation and Commercial Services for several years and committed to purchasing all of their milk from them. This allowed the investment in the bottling plant and also supporting neighbouring farms.
Its been a great success story for them that culminated in the award. Where they beat McDonalds organic beef farming concept. McDonalds were one of the three finalists from 4000 entries.
There was some great media coverage including Gavins interview on BBC radio 4 and a feature in the financial times. Plus Countryfile (again) and the One Show covered the event with a live link and a sponsored category.
