Using unbleached natural cardboard reduces the environmental impact of Brakes packaging by removing the bleaching stage from the manufacturing process.

All new packaging will also display a picture of the product to help make it easier and quicker to identify, whether in the customer’s storeroom or in the warehouse.

Ken Mullholland, Brakes’ Environment and Sustainability Manager, said: “The switch to the new packaging is an obvious choice as we’re making the supply chain more sustainable and making it easier for us and our customers to meet CSER objectives, without reducing the quality of our packaging.”
