ANDREW PICKUP has been appointed corporate affairs director at Compass Group UK & Ireland.
This is a new position, in which Pickup has assumed overall responsibility for corporate responsibility and sustainability (CRS), public affairs and communications across the UK & Ireland.
Prior to joining Compass, Pickup spent a decade lobbying government and regulators in the energy and telecoms sectors. He has been working with Compass since 2006 and has spent the last five years in operational management roles within Compass’ healthcare business, first as an operations director and more recently as business excellence director.
Core to the new role will be the further development of Compass’s Corporate Responsibility Framework. This framework was recently revised, with the establishment of roadmaps for key areas of concern, including environmental impact and sustainable sourcing.
