Two customised HydraChill Water Refilling Stations have been installed, offering passengers a free 500ml refill for water bottles. For those without a bottle, the machines also offer a river-branded reusable container. Revenue from bottle sales will help to fund the free water provision.

Ten million passengers are transported every year between the city’s river piers.

Nick Davis, HydraChill’s founding director, commented: ‘TfL’s commitment to these new units was undoubtedly influenced by the pioneering success of HydraChill at Hammersmith Bus Station, commissioned last year and highly appreciated by staff and commuters alike. This progression to LRS piers is recognition that people respond to this welcome initiative.’
