For those forward-thinking professionals already approaching purchasing in this innovative way – which translates to buying practice which takes into consideration not only bottom line profit but also the impact to both stakeholders and the environment – corporate sustainability champion has created the Triple Bottom Line Procurement Awards (TBL15).

The perfect platform to celebrate the successes of the most proactive of procurement professionals who exemplify supply chain excellence, TBL15 in association with Prestige Purchasing will recognise the very best initiatives in the Foodservice and Retail sectors across five categories. The awards are the very first scheme of its kind to specifically recognise the sustainable contributions of supply chain professionals in the foodservice sector.

“The sustainability efforts of procurement professionals have a genuine, positive impact throughout any single supply chain which those outside the Industry would be astonished by,” commented Nick Fenwicke-Clennell, CEO of Footprint. “This amazing work should be better recognised and TBL15 will showcase the very best individuals in the sector, who set an example well worth following.”

“This inaugural year is incredibly exciting for us and we would like to wish all entrants the very best of luck.”

The five categories are:

Value Chain Management

Efficient Logistics

Competitive Difference Through the Supply Chain

Ethical Procurement

Energy and Natural Resources

David Read, Chief Executive, Prestige Purchasing added: “We are delighted to be supporting Footprint in this new scheme to highlight the achievements of the sector’s best and brightest. Few consumers will ever know the impact procurement has on the wider environment and these awards are a way of ensuring those making a difference know that they are appreciated.”

The TBL15 awards for excellence in the supply chain are open to all Procurement and Supply Chain leaders in Foodservice and Retail. The award results will be announced at a special dinner at London’s prestigious Hyatt Regency Hotel – The Churchill on 25th November 2015.
