The amount of packaging used in the foodservice industry is voracious which is necessary to protect the quality and safety of the product. Challenges include type of materials, quantity and disposal. Innovation in this sector is key. Judges were looking for reductions, use of materials, strategy for re-use, lifecycle, communication and innovation.
