WE ARE delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2014 Footprint Awards Community Vote.
Part of the annual Footprint Awards programme, the Community Vote asks the nation to vote for any local food outlet that they believe demonstrates commitment to sustainability and reducing negative impact on the environment. The Footprint Awards Community Vote is open to any foodservice or hospitality business and anyone can nominate a business; be it a tea room round the corner or a national restaurant chain with the right attitude towards sustainability.
Sponsored by national fruit and vegetables supplier and distributor, Reynolds, the Community Vote reaches out to localities across the UK to identify those often unsung sustainability heroes for recognition. As Tony Reynolds says, “As sponsors of the Footprint Awards Community Vote for the second year running, the team at Reynolds is delighted to see such a variety of businesses represented. The fact that the shortlist is representative of Cafés, Education, Pubs and Restaurants – independent as well as part of larger estates – is testament to how much responsible business practice is influencing all spheres of our sector.”
The shortlist for the 2014 Community Vote is as follows:
Café Muse at Manchester Museum
The Coffee Cube at the University of Central Lancashire
The Duke of Cambridge in Islington, London
The Globe in Chelmsford, Essex
The Green Man at Brackley Heath, Northamptonshire
Woolton Hall on Fallowfield campus, University of Manchester
