Prof. John Stein MA MSc BM BCh FRCP trained as a neurologist at Oxford University, and St Thomass Hospital, London. He is now Emeritus Professor of Neuroscience and Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford.
His research focuses on disordered visuomotor control as a cause of movement, reading and behavioural disorders, in particular the role of specialised magnocellular nerve cells which mediate rapid visuomotor processing and are highly dependent on adequate nutrition. He doesnt cook fish and his younger brother, British TV fish chef, Rick Stein, doesnt do neuroscience!
