The votes have been counted and the nominees for the “people’s choice” Community Vote in the 2016 Footprint Awards have today been announced.
Selected by their peers, customers, suppliers and the industry at large, the shortlist for the Community Vote – sponsored by Prestige Purchasing – in alphabetical order consists of:
- Cross Lanes Organic Farm, Barnard Castle
- Kingfisher Fish and Chips, Plymouth
- The Kitchen (Lakamka Workers Co-Operative), Bolton
- MakeLunch

The purpose of the Community Vote is a democratic process for constituents in the foodservice and hospitality community to either vote for a business that has made an outstanding contribution to responsible business practice. Nominations could be made in the capacity of a customer, supplier or simply as consumers putting forward their pub or favourite eatery. The Winner is the business that achieves the most votes from customers and the foodservice community.
The Winner of the Community Vote will be announced at the annual Footprint Awards, the only awards scheme to recognise excellence in sustainability endeavour throughout the foodservice supply chain, at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill 26th of May 2016.
