The 2022 waste2zero awards in partnership with Bunzl Catering Supplies were presented at an exclusive dinner held at the famous In & Out in London’s St.James’s Square tonight.
The waste2zero awards recognise excellence in Waste Management and Prevention in the out of home sector and specifically give the waste industry a platform to showcase best practice and initiatives in this vital area.
An elite panel of judges, experts in waste, packaging and sustainability, reviewed innovations and initiatives from organisations large and small in areas such as resource management, closed loop, recycling and food redistribution. Clear leadership is evident from some organisations in the sector who are demonstrating operational strategies that reduce waste impacts to the environment up and down supply chains.

As with other Footprint awards schemes, judging of the waste2zero Awards is completed in isolation. Individual judges do not judge all the categories. Any conflict of interest (competitive or otherwise) is avoided and judges do not know which categories their colleagues are assessing. Each judge applies the benefit of their knowledge to the entries, without the influence of their colleagues, so that it is their knowledge and perspective alone that enables them to reach their scores. All judging is accomplished online and Footprint have no influence which provides of layer of integrity that cannot be challenged.
